When you pick a guy fourth overall, it's only natural to shoot for the moon and ponder a Rookie of the Year campaign. Jaren Jackson Jr. doesn't fit the bill as a typical Rookie of the Year contender. He's not going to be a volume scorer and he won't likely get heavy enough minutes compared with other potential candidates. That doesn't mean his impact couldn't be positive enough to make up for those mitigating factors. For a best-case season, Jackson's got to be excellent from the start.

A truly healthy Conley, one who can play 70 or 75 games, can lead the Grizzlies to a best-case season.
Chandler Parsons will need to find a role and be a consistent contributor if the Grizzlies are to truly max out this season.
If MarShon Brooks' shooting and scoring is even close to what he provided last year, that would be vital for the Grizzlies.
The new Grit n' Grind will involve everyone being on the same page, switching, stopping multiple actions, controlling tempo, forcing uncomfortable shots.
